It's been a while...

Well, it's certainly been a long time since I posted on this blog. Our reno is almost all done! We just have to finish painting and replace some of the internal doors. We finished the majority of the reno last November, just in time for Kerin's baby shower. Sometimes you need to be hosting an event to motivate you to finish house stuff!

So a quick update....

We now have a new member in our family, Charlotte, a beautiful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, who has us all wrapped around her little paws!

I'm still working at Red Rock, teaching PE and IT and Mark is working in the city for BASF.

We've been to the US for a whirlwind three week 'vacation'. (I'll post some pictures hopefully this week of our 'vacation')

Mark's parents and sister have bought a holiday house near the beach and we like to get down there once every two months or so.

The boys are growing faster than ever and so is the mess in their rooms!

Here's some photos of the reno (before, during and after) - click on the pictures to see them in more detail...

Easter Holidays

We went to Rosebud with Mark's family and the Rowlands for one week, then came home and got stuck back into the reno. Plaster is all up in the lounge, and we are in the process of getting it ready for painting. Hopefully we'll begin to paint tomorrow....

First bit of cornice on
The cornice was making us go crazy!
It is so hard to figure out how you cut it.
I think whoever invented it decided that it would be a good way to mess with people's minds....

Let the Renovations Begin!

Last week we began our much awaited renovation. After dreaming for a few years about changes we would like to make to our home we are finally beginning to see them come to fruition.

We are going to increase the size of our family room and decrease the size of our formal lounge room and create one more room, and make our 4 bedroom home into a 3 bedroom home. Lots of changes. Hopefully next year we'll be able to do the kitchen. But one thing at a time....
