Today is a new day! A day that I am putting new things into place. A day in which I plan on accomplishing many things! I'm going to start and finish things today! Yipee!
Today I am going to clear out, sort and organize my pantry.
Today I am going to pack up the Christmas decorations.
What are you going to accomplish today?

Accomplish (word of 2012)
Accomplish
This year I want to finish things we've started... and to get in the habit of finishing things that we start through the year.
I want to include our boys in our word of the year. To encourage them to finish what they start. Whether it is packing up their toys, or putting away their clothes, I guess encouraging them to do the job properly, to fully accomplish the task. Mind you, I'm as guilty as the boys are when it comes to putting things away.
I didn't want to choose the word 'finish' as my word for the year, I think that the word 'accomplish' is much more positive.
BTW - Last year my word was 'content', I wanted to become more content with my life through the year. I hope that happened...

more excitement in our little cul de sac
Mark noticed small flames on our neighbour's roof this morning as he backed out of the drive way. So he called 000. The CFA were here within minutes and put the small fire out with an extinguisher. One of their solar panels had caught fire. We had four trucks here at one stage, not that they could all fit in our court! Two were in the court and two were in the street. They were very lucky the panels all didn't catch fire!
